Hi again all…<\/p>\n

So here we are with acoustic song number 3!<\/p>\n

This latest effort is a little bit more “rough and ready” than I would ideally like to share. However I did say, in this post<\/a>, that I would look to quickly share music in it’s rough form and let you share in my journey and (hopefully) my evolution as a solo acoustic performer.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, the aim here is not to share finished, polished product – rather to give you a heads-up on material I am developing.<\/p>\n

So, here we go. \u00a0What we have here is an acoustic treatment of another of my old SkyHunter songs – “There’s More To Life Than Rock & Roll”. \u00a0I heartily admit to the chorus having a strong resemblance to a certain song from the Led Zep IV<\/em> album. \u00a0Indeed, when we played this live as SkyHunter, we would often play on this – ending the song with, \u00a0\u00a0“It’s been a long time, been a long time, been a long, lonely, lonely, lonely … time.”<\/em>\u00a0. \u00a0This is the original version:<\/p>\n

The acoustic version comes out sounding a bit “country” – which I personally like. I’ve inserted a somewhat long and rambling finger-picking solo into the middle. \u00a0There are some good ideas tucked away in there however. \u00a0I will look to hone and sharpen this solo over time.
