You just can’t have too much Rhythm & Blues in your life

… That’s the motto of Surrey & South London Rhythm & Blues Club. With that in mind, we work to stage and promote live music events in the local community – on a not-for-profit basis. We now host regular monthly nights at Soper Hall in Caterham (see Events for details).

The definition of “Rhythm & Blues” we embrace is deliberately a wide one. So, at our events you will likely hear records and see live bands playing “classic” R&B, soul, blues, funk, blues-rock, bluesy/soulful jazz and more. Type “Rhythm and Blues artists” into Google and the results will embrace such diverse performers as: early R&B exponents (e.g. Louis Jordan), blues giants (B.B. King), soul legends (Otis Redding), blues-rock crossover pioneers (Rolling Stones), jazz-funk luminaries (The Crusaders), modern bearers of the soul/R&B torch (CeeLo Green) and more. You can expect to see (and hear) that diversity of content reflected in the club’s musical output. You can check-out our Spotify playlist.
Join our Group  on Facebook to join the conversation with fellow music fans – and please do come along to our events. Help keep Rhythm and Blues alive, vibrant and strong.
